MassChallenge

Events Intern

June - August 2019 • Boston, MA

What I liked

Everyone at MassChallenge was so welcoming and excited to have you on board. They really trust you with the work you are assigned. From day 1, I was given tasks I never thought I’d be doing. If you’re looking for somewhere to actually gain experience, and not just clean closets and take coffee orders, MassChallenge is the place for you!

What I wish was different

I wish we could have been given more of an intro to everyone in the office. I found it hard knowing who was who and getting to know people unless I made an introduction.

Advice

Be confident! Everyone there is on your side and wants you to succeed so take what they give you and run with it.

Program Operations Intern

May - August 2018 • Boston, MA

What I liked

I liked that I was doing tangible work and was given real projects. The work that I did effectively helped set up MassChallenge for their next application season, and will appear directly in their 2018 Impact Report. I also created marketing content that can be shared and promoted long past the summer. I never felt like I was given "busy-work" or a project that didn't quite need to be done. MassChallenge HealthTech is a small team working to get a LOT done, so there was always real work to be done, and that definitely includes the interns.
