Internship-Supply chain Logistics and Inventory

Majors in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or a related field are encouraged to apply. 

 

1. JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision of Supply Chain and Inventory leadership team, perform entry level professional duties of moderate difficulty providing the opportunity for professional training within our Supply Chain. Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects such as process improvements, optimal layout, time studies, and ergonomics.  

II. DUTIES:

A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for supply chain project assignments, research, and analysis.

2. Analyze our Paid Goods for Resale (PGFR) process and identify opportunities for optimal layouts, best practices, distribution, and productivity.

3. Prepares project reports, progress summaries, statistical analysis, and related data within Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI.

4. Analyzes, generates, and maintains records and other reference material necessary for departmental use.

5. Research new potential markets and product categories within our supply chain.

6. Responds to program related questions and sends written material as appropriate. Provides information and assistance to leadership.

7. Composes, types and prints reports, general letters, spreadsheets, e-mail, and memoranda from rough drafts or general instructions,         involving the assembly of data from computer and paper file or record sources. Communicate and share findings with Supply Chain Leadership.

B. Marginal Job Functions:

1. Other duties as assigned.

2. Shadow and support various members of department.

III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A. Core Competencies:

1. Possess aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills in warehouse and secondary market optimization.

2. Possesses strong problem solving skills.

3. Possess talent and skill to organize, plan, and gather and analyze data.

4. Possess strong time management skills

5. Works independently and creatively

6. Display excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

B. Education and Experience:

1. Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.

2. Currently in school for Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or a related field.

3. Transportation for a small amount of travel.

4. Valid Driver’s License.
