Intern - Brand Strategy Intern - Summer 2023 - Nationwide

The Role

The Main Responsibilities

Goal: To experience a bird’s eye view of the Marketing, Brand and Creative department and its relationship to marketing efforts that support the Lumen Enterprise business. Using this experience, work to create a tool Look Book of work that showcases the visual story of the brand. Using this experience you will be asked to make recommendations on how we could improve our process, communications and or guidelines and education for all employees.
As an intern, you will:
  • Process Workfront reviews and asset URL requests.
  • Part-time administrative work to support the Brand Team
  • Monitor Brand Email questions.
  • Monitor Brand Center for opportunities to make adjustments that will enhance the user experience.
  • Create a Look Book of work that supports the brand identity and showcases the visual story of the brand.
  • Always using the lens of pulling items that align closely to the brand identity as spelled out in the guidelines as well as how we can effectively educate users of this tool.
  • Make recommendations on how we could improve our process, communications and or guidelines and education.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Education Requirements 
  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2023 – May 2024.
  • Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Marketing, Communications, Brand Strategy, or similar degree field.
  • Proficiency and understanding of 
  • Brand Strategy and Brand Governance
  • Creating Look books or a visual gallery of educational tools
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Applications including Excel and Powerpoint as you may be asked to sort and compile information in Excel, including graphs, charts etc.
  • Adobe Creative Suite would be nice to have
  • Copywriting experience would be nice to have
  • Professional Attributes 
  • Strong drive for results and taking initiative
  • Ability to be resourceful and adaptable
  • Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with business partners and drive the conversation.
  • Flexible and adapts well to change
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time as a remote worker
  • Work Setting
  • Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August)
  • Must be primarily available during peak working hours but can accommodate flexible work hours as needed and agreed upon

What to Expect Next
