CADD Drafter/Designer
Summary: Support Engineering projects and Operations/Facility Group with all CADD drawings. Develop proposed engineering and equipment layouts, building drawings, elevations, and sections. Updates all existing equipment and utility arrangements for Griffith US Facilities. Implements new engineering and project management software systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drafts structural and mechanical fabrication drawings using AutoCAD 2D & 3D (Revit)
- Responsible for developing drawings: P&ID’s, PFD’s, electrical, mechanical, architectural
- Works with Project Engineers and fabrication shops to develop detail mechanical drawings of parts
- Makes updates to existing drawings based on red line mark ups from field measurements
- Keeps up with the latest AutoCAD releases and tips for improving drawing efficiency and quality
- Maintains drawing archives for North America facilities
- Maintains current drawing numbering system and file directory for easy access of all worldwide files
- Develops, implements, and maintains all Griffith Foods CADD standards for generating, updating, and library of drawings
- Supports Engineering team with software system updates and licensing for AutoCAD and other related releases
- Identifies, recommends, implements, and supports the latest engineering and project management software systems
- Assists NA Engineering with Drawings and layouts as required (<5% travel required)
- Supports Engineering with archiving project documentation as required
Requirements:
- Associate degree
- 5 years of CADD experience in manufacturing
- Experience with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation and Architectural standards
- Desire to grow within the Engineering department is a plus
