USDA FSA - Loan Assistant/Specialist (Agricultural)

Ohio FSA is Hiring 2 Farm Loan Assistant / Specialist Position


The Ohio Farm Service Agency (FSA) is looking for dedicated and talented individuals to assist in its mission of partnering with American farmers and producers to attain an economically and environmentally sound future for American agriculture. 

FSA is currently advertising for two Loan Assistant/Specialist (Agricultural) positions located in Norwalk and Washington Court House, Ohio. Candidates interested in the farm loan assistant/specialist positions will learn farm loan programs and eligibility requirements while assisting with making, servicing and credit counseling to loan applicants and borrowers. 

Salary
$36,746 - $87,579 per year

Pay scale & grade
GS 5 - 9

The Loan Assistant/Specialist positions are a two-year training program that receives classroom and on-the-job training to develop competencies required to be a successful Farm Loan Officer (FLO). The training program involves intense credit and financial analysis training for agricultural enterprises. Under the supervision of a Farm Loan Manager (FLM), each loan assistant/specialist will assist in processing a variety of agricultural loans of limited scope and complexity. Loan Assistants/Specialists who successfully complete all the requirements of the two-year training program are considered a FLO. Once trained, Loan Officers work with a loan team to deliver credit programs, including direct and guaranteed loans, and provide financial guidance and credit supervision.
