Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to teach interns about agency life, the field of integrated marketing communications and to help acclimate to profession while working in an agency atmosphere. Each intern will receive hands-on, real-world experience as they team up with ‘Saxumites’ on projects in areas of: public relations, advertising and digital. Saxum interns are invited to join client account teams and to work alongside full-time team members. We have a planned learning program to help you continue to grow your skills in the marketing industry.
Qualifications:
Applicants should be college juniors or seniors and able to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Client service or social media applicants:
Applicants should have a background in public relations, journalism, advertising, marketing, communications or broadcast journalism. Applicants should exhibit industry knowledge, general business acumen, strong writing, organizational and interpersonal skills as well being comfortable working with and managing outside vendors and being highly organized when it comes to overseeing materials procurement and should demonstrate strong initiative.
Design focused applicants:
Applicants should be recent graduates or graduate students with a background in graphic design, film/motion or web design with the intention of seeking career in one of those areas. All applicants must have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Video/motion graphic applicants:
Applicants should have working knowledge of After Effects, Adobe Premiere or Apple Final Cut Pro.
Web/interactive applicants:
Applicants must have working knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS and basic Flash.
Hours:18-25 hours per week
Locations: We offer internships in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Remote internships in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas
