Internship (Community Relations, Marketing, or Program Development) @ Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship

Internship (Community Relations, Marketing, or Program Development) at Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship (CTE) in Milwaukee, WI - shared by Jobs That Help as third party

Job Type Details: Work remotely, project based, 6-8 hours per week, unpaid, flexible dates

CTE serves Milwaukee elementary to high school youth in learning basic business skills, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through workshops, school curriculum, and operating student businesses. We want young people to develop confidence, communication, creativity, and pre-professional abilities. We want them to know and believe they can have a promising and successful future.

CTE is a small organization, founded 30 years ago by ReDonna Rogers, yet has served over 19,000 participants in our workshops and programs. You may know about us from our monthly radio program Hustle and Grow on WNOV. It is fully student managed. Listen to podcasts from our webpage, ctemke.org. Our workshops are in schools and organizations throughout Milwaukee. Our newest program is My Biz in collaboration with the Granville Entrepreneurial Hub where students plan, create, and operate their pop-up businesses.

There are three options for serving as an intern. As a community relations coordinator, you would work to build relationships with new and existing students, schools, and community organizations. In the second option you would serve as a marketing and public relations coordinator. There you would develop marketing plans, promotions, and fundraising opportunities. In the third option, you would work as a program development coordinator. In this internship, you would design and coordinate workshops for CTE programs.

We are seeking a person who desires to serve youth and develop CTE programs. You would work both virtually and attend monthly board meetings. You would also be collaborating with a very active and supportive board and executive director. The hours are very flexible. The position can start and end on agreed dates. All majors will be considered.
