Save the Children Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Fellow

Summary

Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategies underscore the use of our approach to achieving transformative change, focusing on promoting equality and inclusion within the agency. In this role, you will support our efforts to implement key elements of this strategy, specifically the launch of a Racial Equity and related trainings, along with on-going Courageous Conversations.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
  • Working collaboratively with Human Resources, the DEI Council, and Employee Affinity Groups with supporting activities, such as coordinating trainings, managing the calendar, assisting with event logistics and program evaluation
  • Update/create document library on SaveNet (SharePoint based intranet) site, optimizing ease of access
  • Assist in the review and editing of existing DEI documentations (employee handbook, policies, etc.) to include new guidance around DEI
  • Assist in research, capture and sharing of best practices, success stories and lessons learned from our journey toward becoming an anti-racist organization and to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture

Required Qualifications
  • Must be an actively enrolled Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of intern program start date
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Professional proficiency with written and verbal communications in English

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven capability in data gathering and analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
