Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising Intern - FALL 2021

Summary
This role will serve as support for the marketing, communications and fundraising division, rotating across each team, providing the candidate with a holistic experience across all of the mass market brand, communications and fundraising functions within an INGO. You will work on storytelling and fundraising campaigns, multi-channel communications, and supporter experience. You will report into the Coordinator, Supporter Retention & Fundraising.
 
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to network with other Save the Children interns, volunteers and employees and participate in learning sessions about various topics spanning the breadth of Save the Children's work. Through this experience, you will gain a greater understanding about how the international development community intersects with the private sector. You will also gain transferable skills that are applicable to a variety of roles, particularly in the non-profit industry, marketing, communication, and client services.
 
What You’ll be Doing (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)
You will rotate across each of the teams below, supporting staff members and collaborating on meaningful projects.
  • Brand – creative development, integrated campaigns, and storytelling
  • Digital – digital experience, marketing, channel management
  • Fundraising Innovation – supporter acquisition & retention, lead generation, fundraising strategy
  • Operations – global sponsorship operations, gift processing, supporter experience center
  • Media & Communications – external communications, media relations, influencer engagement
  • Supporter Engagement – supporter experience journey development

Required Qualifications
  • Must be an actively enrolled Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of program start date
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrate collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully within a team
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
