Digital Communications and Online Strategy Summer Internship
The American Academy of Pediatrics has an opportunity to work with HealthyChildren.org, our website for parents, with more than 9 million monthly page views.
The major projects or activities will the intern be involved with include:
· Curating searchable digital media assets
· Writing and editing parent-friendly website articles
· E-newsletter, social media and text-based content creation
Skills are required to be successful at this internship:
· Strong writing, editing, and research skills
· Interest in digital communications, digital marketing and content management systems for a mission-driven, non-profit organization
What can the intern expect to learn from this assignment:
· Best practices for organizing searchable content management systems
· How to distill health-related topics into engaging, easily accessible digital content for a consumer audience
· How to make content easy to find through digital marketing practices such as search engine optimization
Location
This internship is a remote position. Hours and days are flexible and can be agreed upon between intern and the intern supervisor.
