Merchandising Inventory Intern
LTD Commodities (the fastest growing and largest division of Amerimark Interactive) is looking for a Merchandise Inventory Planning Intern to join our team this summer!
This paid, 12-week, Internship will focus on inventory planning, sales analysis, and forecasting for the business and will reside in our Lincolnshire, IL location just north of Chicago.

What you will be doing:
You will be working on sales analyses, preparing forecasts, and will work closely with various departments, such as Merchandising, Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing, and the Distribution Center to help us maintain excellent optimal servicing for our external customers.
- Communicating with vendors
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability and minimize excesses
- Work with our Merchandising team to support the advertised products and create plans to liquidate obsolete inventory
- Cost negotiations
- Participate in meetings, prepare and present business information
- Place purchase orders based on forecasting and seasonal trends, consistently review order levels vs. demand and adjust as needed
- Predict future sales for merchandise that we advertise based on trends and analysis
- Reports including sales, back orders, in-stock, etc.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college or university as a rising Junior or Senior. Strong preference for candidates pursuing a Bachelors in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, Advertising and Communications
- Microsoft Office Suite experience including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work well with others on diverse projects in a collaborative team environment
- Possess strong written/oral communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
