Research Project Interviewers (Temporary role) Chicago

Are you looking for a great way to earn extra money for several weeks this summer? Do you love meeting new people and does the idea of contributing to an amazing clinical research project interest you? Schlesinger Group is looking for professionals who received formal training in the administration of cognitive/psychological tests as part of a professional/graduate training program for a great short-term project coming up this summer!

Research Project Interviewers will work approximately 25-40 hours per week from May 10 through July 10, 2021.

POSITION SUMMARY:
With supervision, the project interviewer will be conducting in-person assessments of research participants from 3 – 85+ years of age within the facility. They will use Q-Interactive to administer WISC-V, WAIS-IV, and/or WPPSI-IV tests; use NIH Toolbox app to administer NIH Toolbox tests. The Interviewer reports directly to the Facility Supervisor, Facility Manager, and/or Facility Director. This is a non-exempt position.

 KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Attend client onsite training to complete study certification. 
  • Greet participants, and external clients, maintaining a friendly, but professional rapport with both.
  • Administer questionnaires, consents, and other documents as written.
  • Administer specified assessments from an iPad, using the appropriate digital testing platforms (Q-Interactive, NIH Toolbox, or PARiConnect).
  • Follow directions and review completed materials for errors and incomplete information.
  • Clean and disinfected workspace as directed.
  • Light lifting as needed (assist with moving chairs, tables, etc.) based on the client specifications.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.
 
DURING RESEARCH:
Upon your arrival:
  • Meet with the Supervisor to ensure preparation for shift requirements.
  • Introduce yourself to clients and participants as the interviewer. 
  • Administer interviews with participants showing patience, guidance, and empathy. 
  • Double check all paperwork, including consents and other study documents to make sure they are filled out properly.
  • Make sure to paying attention to their respective rooms, disinfecting and cleaning space as directed.
  • Communicate with your Manager or Supervisor if you have any questions or issues.
  • Conduct reminder calls to participants as directed.
Upon closing:
  • Check all paperwork and organize into the project folder
  • Scan/Upload the client paperwork to the HUB 
  • Upload project interview as directed
  • Ensure rooms are ready for the next day, by completing the CSR checklists, as required
  • Ensure that all printing is ready for the next day.
  • Send out a detailed nightly report.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
College degree or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:
  • Have received formal training in the administration of cognitive/psychological tests as part of a professional/graduate training program
  • Be proficient in Q-interactive administration of the WISC-V, WAIS-IV, and/or WPPSI-IV (with "proficiency" defined as having administered one or more of these batteries at least 2-3 times per month, on average, in the year immediately preceding the Covid shut-downs)
  • Knowledge of the Wisconsin Card Sorting test is preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Strong Microsoft Office/Computer Literate
