** This ten-week paid internship can be located in Chicago, IL, Marion, IL OR Richardson, TX. **

What Are Your Responsibilities?
This position is responsible for applying emerging technologies to assist with developing sophisticated database solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams in both our business and technical areas. Supporting work done to analyze and define requirements associated with operational efficiency within HCSC's Customer Service division and translate them into functional design documents. Partnering with the team to design, test, and implement technical production automation solutions to achieve business objectives by utilizing JAVA, Visual Basic, or any other industry approved software and providing customer support on internally developed applications and processes.
– Respond to help desk tickets
– Code automation applications
– Keep abreast of automation tools and processes in production and under development
– Create documentation to support departmental process improvements and workflows
– Create and analyze business specific reports and ad-hoc reports
– Transform business requirements into technical solutions utilizing VB.Net, C#, and SQL database design and data manipulation

What Do You Need To Be Successful?
– Prior internship experience in database design, automation and/or data manipulation is a plus
– Basic coding experience in VB.Net, C# and/or SQL is a plus
– Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
– Strong analytical skills
– Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and virtual team collaboration tools

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
– Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant technical degree
– Graduation date between December 2021 – June 2022
– A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
– Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer
– Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
